The chemicals created by Muntajat’s producing companies find new life in hundreds of different industrial and consumer products. Our customers use them in food processing and water treatment, in the manufacture of paper and textiles, and to make cleaner-burning fuels. They are used in the production of polymers, solvents, and other chemicals. Our products can be found in adhesives, lubricants, paints, dyes, and even medicines. They are also essential in creating common household goods like liquid soap, sunscreen, detergent, and home cleaning products.
Methanol (MeOH)
Methanol is a clear, colourless, flammable liquid with a characteristic odour. It is a clean energy source as well as a raw material for some of the everyday items we use.
Within the petrochemical industry, methanol is used as a raw material in the manufacturing of solvents, Formaldehyde, Methyl Halide, Methyl Amine, Acetic Acid, Ethyl Alcohol, Acetic Anhydride, DME and MTBE.
Our methanol is produced by QAFAC, which has a production capacity of 2,950 metric tonnes per day of US Federal Grade AA Methanol using ICI Technology.

Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether ( C5H12O )
Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (MTBE) is a colourless flammable liquid with a characteristic odour and an average octane number of 108. It is used as a gasoline additive that provides cleaner burning fuel to reduce the tail gas pollution generated by motor vehicles whilst also eliminating the need to add Tetra Ethyl Lead to the gasoline.
Qatar Fuel Additives Company (QAFAC) produces 1,830 metric tonnes per day of high quality MTBE by processing field butane, supplied by Qatar Petroleum and methanol, produced by QAFAC’s own on-site plant.

Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB)
Linear alkyl benzene (LAB) is a family of organic compounds with the formula C6H5CnH2n+1. Since the 1960s, LAB has emerged as the dominant precursor in biodegradable detergents, in particular laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, industrial cleaners, and household cleaners.
The superior product quality of SEEF LAB leads to high sulfonability, improved surfactant properties and excellent detergent performance which ultimately enhances customer profitability.
Quality: High Linearity (> 92 wt.), low Bromine Index (<10), low Di Alkyl Tetralins & Indanes content (<1 wt %)

Heavy Alkyl Benzene (HAB)
Heavy Alkyl Benzene (HAB) or Heavy Alkylate is used in the manufacture of lube oil, thermic fluids, refrigeration oil, electrical oil and textile auxiliaries.
sodium and calcium sulphonated derivatives of heavy alkylate are reckoned for high shelf life, are stable under different climatic conditions and work as surface active agents.
HAB manufactured by SEEF commands a market premium due to its consistent and superior quality.

Ethylene Dichloride (EDC)
Ethylene Dichloride (EDC) is a chlorinated hydrocarbon that is mainly used to produce Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM), the major precursor for PVC production. It is a colourless liquid with a chloroform-like odour. EDC is also used as an intermediate for other organic chemical compounds and as a solvent.
Physical Appearance: Colourless
Quality: High purity (99.9% wt., < 300 ppm wt. Low boils.

Hydrochloric Acid (HCL)
Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) is a colourless to yellowish-green, clear corrosive liquid with a pungent, irritating odour. It is completely soluble in water and HCl gas mixed with water generate a violent exothermic reaction. Contact with most metals results in the formation of flammable hydrogen gas. HCl is used in numerous applications from water treatment to food processing.

Normal Alpha Olefins (NAO)
Normal Alpha Olefins are linear hydrocarbons having highly accessible terminal double bonds which make them ideal materials for manufacturing numerous products. Under license from Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. Ltd., and sold under the brand name AlphaPlus®, these NAO products are used extensively to manufacture common household and personal care consumer goods such as plastics, liquid soaps, sunscreen, detergents, synthetic lubricants, adhesives, drilling fluids, high quality paper products, and a wide range of other items. With product range from C4 to C30+ carbon lengths, they can be put to unlimited use in the development of new chemical products.
Under ambient conditions, C4 is a gaseous product and C6 through C18 are clear water-white liquids with a distinctive olefinic odour. The C20+ products are solid at room temperature and have a waxy appearance.
